Ever since they moved out of the Jr. divisions they have lead the evolution of this popular dance form in both the competitive arena and the social dance floor. ARJAY CENTENO & MELISSA RUTZ (San Francisco, CA) A shared interest in West Coast Swing led them to a competition partnership that has taken them around the country. They quickly moved up the ranks and compete at the Champion levels in all major swing events. Both Arjay and Melissa have placed highly in many Champions and Invitational Jack and Jill and Strictly Swing competitions, and in many Classic routine divisions. They are 2007 USA Grand National and Liberty Swing Showcase Champions. Together they compete, perform and teach at events throughout the country. MARKUS SMITH & DEONNA BALL (DC) Markus and Deonna began dancing together in 2001. First, it was Hand Dance, then West Coast Swing. In their first major competition they took 2nd place in the Professional Classic Division at USA Grand Nationals in Atlanta. JASON BARNES & ERICA BERG (MN) began their dance partnership in 2003. They compete on the National Swing Dance Circuit in the Classic Swing division. In 2005, they ranked 5th on the NASDE tour and have shared numerous titles together, including 2004 U.S. Open Swing Dance champions in the Teams division with the Midwest Rebels Swing Dance team. They are 2-time finalists in the Classic Division at the U.S. Open. Jason and Erica truly love dancing and teaching together. JASON MIKLIC & SOPHY KDEP (KY) met on a dance floor in 1998 and they’ve been dancing together ever since. They travel all over the country competing, teaching, judging and performing. TYBALT & HAZEL ULRICH (NYC) are full-time teachers at Stepping Out Studios in NYC. They met while touring with the “Swing Dance America” company and decided to join forces to teach, compete, and perform together nationally. As competitors, they have placed in numerous competitions around the country. They are founding members of the NYC Shag Club and directors of New York’s only continuous Carolina Shag program at You Should Be Dancing Studios. CHRISTOPHER JOE & LISA SCHAUPP (MD) started their dance careers in California doing Swing, Hustle & Lindy.  Their combined titles include: California State Swing Champions, California Champions Division Hustle, California Swing Dance Hall of Fame, US Open Swing Dance Champions, 1st Place Worlds Jack & Jill Championships, and US Open Award of Excellence.  They have judged and taught dance technique workshops at major conventions from NY City to Hawaii.  Lisa and Chris ran the South Bay Swing Dance Club in Los Angeles where they attracted over a thousand new students per year.  Many of their students have gone on to win major dance awards throughout the country.

ROBIN SMITH & SHARI HUGGETT (NC) Shari began studying tap, jazz, and ballet at the age of five, performed in many shows throughout her youth and began teaching and competing Ballroom & Latin in 1992. She has won numerous awards regionally and nationally in her professional career, including Regional and Professional Rising Star Finalist and Open Professional Semi-Finals in American Smooth and International Standard.

JOHN LINDO (NJ) John began Country Western and line dancing in 1992. He quickly moved into West Coast Swing and garnered more than his share of awards and championships. Some of his First Place awards include the US Open, Grand Nationals, Phoenix Champions of Champions, and the North Atlantic All Star Division. He received the Entertainer of the Year award at the USA Grand Nationals in 2001. BARRY DURAND (MD) began teaching in AZ and CA in the early 80's and helped expand social dancing in the southwest. He moved to the DC area in 1984, established the "Dance West" team that went undefeated on the country circuit for 7 years and won 2 US Open championships. Barry holds 2 US Open Showcase titles Cabaret titles and received the Humanitarian award. He was Country Dance World Champion in 1993 and won the world championship title for Line Dance Choreography. DEBBIE RAMSEY-BOZ (Raleigh, NC) worked in Hollywood for many years. She's been featured in many films and television shows. Debbie coaches the "Swingalings" performance company, numerous dance teams, competitors, Vegas acts, commercials and film. DANIEL MCGEE (Philadelphia, PA) is co-owner and co-founder of Top Hat Dance Studio with locations in Philadelphia and Lancaster, PA.  Teaching, performing and competing in the Ballroom, Latin and Hustle dance forms for over ten years. KIM VANAMAN (Boston, MA) started her Dance career in the performance arena, initially tap dancing as a member of Providence, R.I.'s "All Tap Revue,"  Kim has been a Hustle Specialist and enthusiast since 1978. VICTOR LOVEIRA (TX) DJ with 20+ years experience. Victor began at dance clubs in Houston. He also mixed for a local radio station. Victor moved to Florida and in 1996, met Marc Fisher (producer of the popular Measure of Blues CDs) and began DJing for the South Florida Swing Dance Society.
